01The Consultancy

Three pillars. One consultancy business. Built for organisations that want real counsel, not a report.

Tripod Solutions is an independent advisory consultancy business built around three distinct but connected pillars: Advisory, Governance, and Intelligence. Whether you need a trusted sounding board, a non-executive director, or someone to help your organisation make sense of where AI fits, the business is structured to deliver it.

The business works with organisations of all sizes, from owner-operators and growing private businesses through to listed companies and government agencies. The common thread is a need for senior, commercially honest counsel from someone who has actually run things. Over 30 years of frontline leadership across civil construction, rail, utilities, and public infrastructure. No junior analysts. No reports as a substitute for thinking.

— 01
Advisory
Strategy, performance, industrial relations, operational excellence, executive mentoring, and fractional/interim leadership. Retained counsel or project-based, sized to what you actually need.
— 02
Governance
Non-executive director and advisory board appointments across construction, infrastructure, transport, water, and government. Independent, GAICD-qualified, and commercially grounded.
— 03
Intelligence
Intelligence covers two things: helping organisations understand and apply AI practically, and providing deep industry insight drawn from decades of sector relationships and deal-flow visibility. Both inform better decisions.
02Capabilities

What each pillar delivers in practice.

Each capability sits within one of the three pillars: Advisory, Governance, or Intelligence. Engagements are sized to the organisation and the problem, not a standard fee structure. A growing private business gets the same quality of thinking as a listed operator.

01 Advisory
Executive Advisory
Trusted counsel to CEOs, managing directors, and owner-operators on performance, commercial decisions, and organisational challenges. Particularly valuable for leaders who don't have a peer group to pressure-test thinking with.
02 Advisory
Industrial Relations and Enterprise Bargaining
Enterprise agreement strategy, negotiation leadership, and workforce reform across civil construction, infrastructure, and rail. Direct experience leading multi-site EBA processes and complex union engagement.
03 Advisory
Strategy and Operational Reform
Business strategy, operating model design, and performance turnaround. Shaped around delivery realities, useful whether you're scaling a business, fixing one, or working out what to do next.
04 Governance
Board Advisory and Non-Executive Direction
Independent NED and advisory board appointments across construction, infrastructure, transport, water, and government. Suitable for private companies establishing a first board through to listed entities requiring independent oversight.
05 Intelligence
AI Advisory and Digital Adoption
Practical guidance on AI adoption for infrastructure and construction organisations. Clear-eyed assessment of what is genuinely useful, where the risks sit, and how to build real capability at board and executive level.
06 Intelligence
Transactions and Commercial Diligence
Acquisition and partnership strategy, operating-level due diligence, and integration advisory. Practical assessment of what businesses are worth and what it takes to realise the case.
