01The Practice

Three pillars. One independent advisory practice. Built for organisations that want real counsel, not a report.

Tripod Solutions is led directly by Domenic De Fazio. A civil engineer and former senior executive with sector experience across major construction and infrastructure organisations. Every engagement is led by the Principal. The client works with the Principal, not with a layer beneath one.

There is no junior team. No report handed over at the end of a project. No distance between the client and the person doing the thinking. Where deeper specialist capability is required, it is brought in through a trusted referral network and managed by the Principal. That principle holds as the practice grows.

The businesses Tripod serves are founder-owners of construction and infrastructure businesses, executive leadership teams of mid-tier contractors, boards of private and PE-backed infrastructure businesses, and industry associations, peak bodies, and government-adjacent organisations.

Monthly retainer for Founder/Owners of construction and infrastructure businesses stepping back or scaling up. Business strategy, operating model design, trusted counsel on performance, commercial decisions, and organisational challenge. Consistent senior thinking, structured around the client's situation.
02 Advisory
Mid-tier Construction Consulting
Day-rate engagements for executive leadership teams in mid-tier businesses. Mentoring, operational review, bid strategy, project recovery, governance preparation, acquisition due diligence, and industrial relations.
03 Advisory
Fractional / Interim Senior Advisor
Extended engagements where a senior operator is required on a part-time or interim basis. Two to three days per week, three to twenty-four months. Mid-tier through to larger organisations.

Domenic De Fazio is a civil engineer with over 30 years in Australian and New Zealand construction and infrastructure. His career has progressed through project delivery, operations management, and executive leadership of major contracting organisations, with direct accountability for revenue, people, transactions, and operational reform.

His executive career includes Chief Operating Officer of BildGroup, Chief Executive of Fulton Hogan's New Zealand construction business, and Chief Executive of Urban Infrastructure at Broadspectrum, leading a 2,500-person business across Australia and New Zealand through a contested sale and the disruption of COVID. His foundation in major civil project delivery was built at Transfield, including the Melbourne CityLink construction project.

He is a former Victorian Branch President and Chairman of the Civil Contractors Federation. His director experience spans alliance boards, statutory bodies, and private boards, including the Kaikoura Earthquake Recovery Alliance Board, Melbourne Water alliance boards, VIDA Roads Leadership Teams, and multiple Broadspectrum subsidiary boards.
